"The problem with running 26" on road is that tyre selection is vastly limited compared with 700c. I picked these as (IMO) the best narrow slick available at the time. I have run these for some time now and thus can cinfidently say that they are a good, high quality (as per usual with conti) long-lasting tyre that roll great at 100+ psi, puncture resistance even at this pressure is only fair to good, sharps do still find their way through occasionally. Compared to the rest of the tyre the sidewalls are also prone to damage, generally however this is not a problem on the road though, just something to be aware of. Recommend with caveat that you will still need to take your PRK, which i would not leave home without anyway.."

"got these for my GT which is converted to single speed and has horizontal dropouts. couldnt do up normal QR skewers tightly enough to stop axle moving. however these work a treat. standard length fits just fine."

tightening up

How does the skewer tighten up? Does the allen bolt head rotate inside the end cap, or does the whole end cap rotate against the drop out? Thanks.
allen bolt head rotates inside alloy skewer cap which acts as a washer. instructions say to grease under the head of the bolt to facilitate this.
