"The only drawback to the Bryton is the frankly appalling documentation. The manual is at best practically useless, at worst completely misleading.
If you can get past the initial difficulty in setting up the mapping and using anything other than the basic functions, then the kit itself is truly excellent, it compares very well against the competition, especially when price is compared.
The screen is well sized, very clear and the display elements and layout are all user configurable to allow you to display only the information you want. Routing is clear, and easy to follow, with decent maps included), and battery life acceptable (8 hours+ using ride recording, mapping and constant screen display)
The Bryton website is now easy to use and offers a number of links to other sites (Strava etc) for direct upload of ride data.
On the whole 5 stars for the kit. 1 star for the documentation."

"The Spoon is simply unbelievable value for money.
It's a firm, well shaped extremely comfortable perch with few drawbacks.
Getting the ideal position can be a little tricky, as the curved shape makes alignment difficult. But two days after fitting I happily did a 200km ride with no ill effects."

"Simply briliant tyres, at a cracking price
Ideal for trecking bikes that spent most of their time on road/tow path/ track.
Grip is fine for 90% of "leisure" riding, without being so extreme it makes road riding painful."

"The first thing to say about this light is that it's bright. Very Very bright.
So bright that following another rider with one of these on flash with quickly give you a headache.
The flashing mode is unreal. The main LED is so bright it largely relegates the side flashers to novelty value. They're still good and noticable but tend to get drowned out in the overspill from the main beam. Still can't be too visible,
The unit comes with a set of really good mounts, suitable for seatpost or chainstay. And the built in "belt clip" style mount allows easy attachment to seatpack or pannier loops. Seems very secure and safe when in position.
Battery life is pretty good. Although I now use a high capacity rechargeable set.
Unit is waterproof and despite being used throught the winter has shown no ill effects from the UK weather
Only drawback is the on-off switch. It's tiny, recessed and almost completely inaccessible when wearing gloves."
Pros: Durable, High Quality, eye burningly bright

"Bought this for sportives and rides where I just dont want to be carrting a bulky frame pump. It's tiny and weighs next to nothing.
Fits easily in the wedge pack with a spare cylinder and a couple of tubes.
The cylinder screws into the nozzle easily and the inflation speed is simple to control by twisting the cylinder body in the thread.
Inflates a 700X23 to 120psi in seconds with no effort.
Main drawback is the cost of the replacement cartidges, not sure i'd want to rely on this on the daily commute, as it could get expensive; but tbh that applies to all cartridge systems.
Oh, and the body of the cyclinder gets very very cold in use. Other units have a rubber sleeve to protect your hand, this doesn't so be careful."
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: gets very cold

Schwalbe Land Cruiser MTB Tyre

My current Tyres RE Schwalbe Smart Sam 26 x 2.125 and I'm looking into the Landcruiser tyre for a C2C run we are doing soon, would they be suitable?
Also which size would you recommend (1.75 or 1.90/2.00) and would I require new inner tubes?
Thanks for your help!
Best answer
The Landcruisers are a do-it -all kind of tyre. They will cope with road and trail use. Assuming your C2C route is primarily road and light trail then they will be fine - although you might want to consider an even more road friendly tyre if its all road based (in this case look at the Schwalbe Marathon line).

As to size, I'd go with the 1.75 for most uses. You will probably need new tubes too if dropping from a 2"+ tyre.

Which color code should I buy if I want the black / red one? Brushed Black?

Thanks!
The Black/Orange is more of a very dark Grey/Red TBH.

I'd struggle to describe it as "Black", but it does look much better in the flesh than on the page.

Can this light be clipped onto a mounting loop on the back on a saddle bag?

Yes. The standard mounting bracket moulded into the unit acts as a belt clip style fastener.

In use it's very secure and the clip is tight enough to hold the lamp in position very well.
