"For basically a tube of material it's a bit pricey. But you can use it from a balaclava, beanie to scarf.
As I need just a scarf to keep my throat warm it's a bit of overkill and I'd have preferred a narrower tube - but all the other options are there if you need them."
Pros: Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices

"For protection I'll try anything, The protective pads seem better than the d30's (in 661's) but the shorts are very poor.
Size is iffy and only bearable because the material is very stretchy.
Seams are flatlocked but thread feels like wire - first day one thread sticking out left 4x30 mm of raw skin. Joint on grippers is sticks out uncomfortably.
If you can get the VPD pads only and stick them in your own shorts - if too loose use sticky tape or better yet compression tights to hold them in place. The pads are OK but the shorts are too expensive and useless.
The chemois is very thin and almost useless, as well as being too far forward at the front and hardly covering your but - useless. So you're better of with your regular shorts and just the VPD pads for protection!"
Pros: stretch fabric
Cons: Expensive, Low Quality, Poor Fit, poor pad, abrasive seams

"If you are into long distance riding these are the thing to have. First discovered the benefits of compression stockings in hospital recovering from a fractured femur. Now I won't ride without them.
I tried to go without them on very hot days. After one day I wasn't sure if my ride and recovery were worse. After two days I was - now I won't ride without them - if it's too hot to wear them during the ride it's too hot to ride. I also wear them after the ride as long as possible - 'till I shower. This way I can do 100k+ every day and be fresh the next day for another ride.
PS: 1) I find these suit me better than Skins for riding.
2) If U R borderline on the size chart 4 best benefits and compression get the smaller size.

"These are excellent additions to your safety gear. Because of this I prefer the yellow version as they are more useful during daytime,
Velcro should be longer to make it tighter around the ankles - which could make the reflective strip shorter - not desirable, so it needs a workaround. On the other hand you can also wear a second pair just below the knee to compensate."
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
Cons: could be cheaper, poor fit for skinny ankles

"Excellent quality tubes. Bit thick and heavy compared to road tubes; but because of this they hold air well and seldom need topping up.
This and Wiggles price makes them excellent value - especially on sale,"
Pros: Durable, Rugged, hold air well, excellent value
Cons: Bulky, bit heavy

"They look too small to fit, but do. In fact according to the charts I'm borderline XS and S. I got the S as that's what I get in clothing.
As these are compression and very stretchable If in doubt, I advise you go one size smaller to get the full benefit of their compression.
The thermal effect is only marginally better than normal lycra of that thickness - the are not roubaix if you need it for really cold weather - they're OK for 10ºC plus."
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, nice feel, wick well, okok even in warmer weather
Cons: Expensive

"I don't know about the energizer or compression bit. They are nice and elastic but far too weak to have any compression value.
That said they are nice and comfortable and seem good at temperature and moisture regulation. A lower price with less hype would make them better value."

"A very nice looking garment and nice feel to it.
Main body is a single piece (done individually on a circular machine?) This excellence is spoilt entirely by the ancient style overlocking which leaves ridges along the neck, arm pits and arms. Then the spin masters call it a "second skin" - I don't know any one who has corresponding valleys for the overlock ridges. They don't even bother to cut and pull through the strings; very poor indeed.
An excellent fabric spoiled by the sewing."
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices, not flat locked, poor sawing finish

"These are a great improvement on the nobly tyres the bike came with. Why they were there on a city use bike I don't know. They roll really well and the high pressure they can take helps too. They have enough grooves to help in the rain and mud if you happen to find some in the city.
They have plenty of rubber so they should last well - this makes them heavier than the RubinoPros but it's not a race bike, But they roll; nearly as well as the RubinoPro and being wider are more comfortable. They are a true radial which explains all the great features in this and all Vittoria tyres. You only need to look to see the great manufacturing quality (I used to work in the tyre industry).
Best feature is the reflective strip close to the rim, makes them look grouse and safer too. They're a bit hard to fit - wide tyre on a narrow rim problem. Vittoria should consider making an even narrower version for city use."
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile, reflective4safety, lots of rubber

Stretch fabric makes them mildly compressive, but not enough to be mainly used for that.

Does it have a Pad?

As above, do these boxer shorts have a 'pad'. The manufacturer site mentions the "X-BIONIC seat cushion", is that a pad and is it in these shorts, can they be worn comfortably under padded bib tights?

Thanks in advance.

what size for 6ft tall with 32 inch waist

Top 250 Contributor
Top 250 Contributor
Try L: they feel really tight when standing as thy cut in on your vitals - more comfortable in bike drop position. Their sizing is unusual so be prepared to exchange.

Also older models had shorter legs with looser grips to make it more difficult for your build. You may need to be prapered for that loose leg feeling.

The new Look Kéo Grip anti-slip cleat. It is safer as well as being compatible with the entire KéO range. The TPU pieces helps to reduce the chances of slipping while walking.

What does the float mean on the cleat?

Top 250 Contributor
Top 250 Contributor
Very poorly. I usually take S but had to take M in the Uno and L in the F1 mille.

More recent models seem better sized and longer leg with tighter grippers.

So now go for your current size but be prepared to exchange for next size.

On the other hand they do become more flexible and comfortable with wear. Also they warn you that they are designed for the bike position - and can be very uncomfortable when standing - especially when new.

Good luck.
