"well what can i say?? if you can get over the price of it (i managed to get it for £169 in the sale instead of 220) then its a absolute bargain - this is simply the best jacket i have ever owned EVER (ive had endura stealths all sorts) .....nothing compares to this one, its absolutly waterproof to 100% and windproof to 100%.....
ive experienced both, a recent ride of 40 miles in horrid windy 9-12 degree weather, and i was totally protected from a very very nasty wind.....the jacket even at 10 degrees kept me cool, it didnt clam up like other jackets would in 10 degree heat, and even when i did get hot after a burst of a climb, the jacket was still dry inside even if i was sweating.......dont get me wrong, you are never going to stop it getting wet inside at some point if your pushing yourself riding, but what i can tell you is its ALOT more breathable than any other jacket, and if it does get wet from the inside, it dries out SOOOOO fast......
the waterproof aspect is great too, it keeps you dry as can be, really does, it continuously beads off regardless of strength of rain....whether that will last after washing i dont know, i hope it will....
it comes with a hood - which i thought was pretty pointelss for a mtb jacket.....but this is clever even if you dont used it, as it makes the material around your neck thicker (due to it being stowed away in the back of the neck), this i must say due to it being thicker keeps you incredibly warm on windy days, ive stopped wearign a buff as it simply deflects the wind, the stealth always used to let wind down the neck even with a buff on....i can assure you no wind is passing down the nice high neck of this....wear this with a short sleeve baselayer in 10 degrees and its fine, i guess deep in winter ill wear some arm warmers underneath, but i cant see the need for anything moor, there is no way the wind or rain is getting through this jacket.
overall im massively impressed, yes its expensive, but if this performs like it has so far for 3 years lets say, then thats around 80 quid a winter.....not bad at all and stops you buying cheap alternatives too at 80 pop a time...
if you can stretch the budget its a great jacket.....my endura stealth has now become redundant for even the deeper most winters.....
sizing im a 36-37 inch chest, and i have a medium, im not too sure what sort of people gorebikewear smalls fit, im a slim 36-37inch chest and take small in most stuff, yet in gore im always medium in size...
get one! 10/10"

"this is an amazing piece of kit! straight from the off the 900 lumens are extremely bright, i never thought id have that amount on the old 'bonce' at a weight that well......ermmm...weighs next to nothing! incredible in itself when you think some bar mounted lights touch 900 lumens - weigh treble and cost even more!
i run this alongside a 960 lumen maxx daddy, this light is almost as bright on maxx setting, doesnt quite have the spread (which it wont for a helmet light of course) but it isnt far off at all! the pattern would give me enough spread on its own to be used without a handlebar mounted light...that said i think this is the perfect combo on full power i have 1800lumens of pure light with a nice mix of yellowy (2010 maxx daddy) with 900 lumens of much whiter (2011 diablo mk2) and this for me is perfect! helmet light adds incredible depth to already powerful maxx daddy, it helps pick out tight corners, switchbacks etc something your handlebar one wont do at full pelt which = crash
the quality is second to none, lovely finish, its incredibly light for its output....
onto the burn time, i guess if you solely rode off road twisty singletrack of an evening and needed it on the full 900 lumens from start to finish then you may struggle if your rides are over a an hour, but let me stress, the second setting last for 3hours, and is plenty for fireroad and stuff you are familiar with.....if you mix road/fire road/off road/singletrack like me then mixing between the settings will easily last your full ride...just save the maxx power for the mega tech stuff.....like i said im running it alongside a maxx daddy so ive got 2 lights to get me through, if its your only light its an excellent choice, just make sure you dont constantly use it on full power (unless you know your ride is only an hour long)....if you use your common sense with it then i cant see why you cant get 2.5-3 hours out of this light for a night on its own!
if that is an issue, just buy the single additional battery for £35, and you'll have full 900 lumens for 2hours over....but if you need to run it on maxx like that for 2 hours id be very suprised, again use your brain and it WILL last you a ride easily!
price wise, for the size, weight, power output etc id say 200quid was pretty darned good, if you get a good deal off wiggle for £160 (20%) off then it was an absolute steal!
i know im going to have lots of fun with this, and its gonna help my night riding out no end, i ride lots of twisty rocky stuff, that sits directly below the bars when riding, looking down with that much power is gonna clear the way to go full pelt! something bar mounted lights cant always see due to there straight on positioning on the bars!
for me maxx daddy + diablo = perfect combo!
id be happy enough to ride with it on its own though, so dont fret if your only choice, id still take it!
5/5 = cracking little light!"

"first time wearer/buyer of full length lycra tights....wasnt too sure about wearing them but realised as the colder nights hit they would be imperitive too actually going out and riding!
well what can i say, these are amazing, they keep your legs totally warm and protected from the wind, its been very very windy near me of late and later at night it tends to pick up even more, i have'nt even noticed it on my legs, even been blown side to side off the gale force winds :)
i honestly cant recommend these enough, cheaper than mostly any other brands out there, comfy, fits excellently on my skinny frame/waist and are incredibly windproof and toasty warm....i started to wear them under trousers at first as i wasnt keen on the whole lyrcra look, but after i got my trousers soaked and in need of washing i had no choice but to wear them alone, and i havent put the overtrousers back on since, they really are amazing! the padding is spot on too....
all in all for the price compared to others id highly recommend you get these above all others, as the quality after a month and halfs use has been nothing short of superb!
perhaps be a plus point of having a few more reflective bits on the legs somewhere, but other than that absolutly nothing to fault..
10/10!"

"I bought this jacket a few months ago, ordered a small, which i usually wear in all brands, this was too tight (even though its obviously designed to be) for me, so i had to size up......the jacket is too thick for summer use imo, but come the colder blistering windy days this jacket comes to life, the windproofness of this is the best thing ive used, however after a ride out in the rain of nearly 3 hours the jacket lost its 'water off a ducks back' effect, i got home and i was soaked inside the jacket, now this was a 3 hour ride in constant rain, so i dont want to say thats normal, but to me i expected it to repell the rain regardless of how long/how much pelted down on it.....it started to absorb the rain and i was left soaked and the jacket heavy......this was brand new and hadnt been washed......
i will reproof the jacket again for winter using grangers spray, and hopefully this will cure it......as the jacket IS a great jacket, the waterproof issue could be simply as it rained tooooo much for the jacket to take? i dont know.....hopefully it was a one off and the jacket will repell again in future..."

washing help instructions please :)

please can you advise on the correct way to wash these, and ensure the waterproofness stays hmmmm well waterproof?

it says wash frequently in the washing machine? am i ok to just use persil with this at 40degrees??? how on earth will the waterproof stay in on the trousers using normal washing liquid like persil? these are a cracking pair of waterproof trousers, and i really want them to stay the same with the beading off of water/mud etc, if i lose that ability they become pointless :( . please tell me after a wash they stay the same brilliant waterproof?
