"I ordered two of the bags, one for myself and the other for friend who will be cycling with me. It seems strong enough for the purpose. Pity there is no Please Handle with Care printed on it but we can can get round that and anyway need that in two languages. We are going to fix on a few inexpensive reinforcing eyelets which come in two pieces and snap together. With the bike in position and deraillier bubblewrapped, we will then feed security tags through eyelets to seal the bag along where the surplus folds back. We just hope and pray that the baggage handlers will be gentle. Holding back on giving this product 5 stars until after the holiday. Cardboard boxes or proper bike cases are not practical for us, as we'll arrive abroad at airport A, do our cycle tour then depart homeward from airport B."
Pros: Adjustable, portable, quite strong, practical
Cons: no ctc logo, on the dear side

TT Bike

Would this product fit TT bike? or can you suggest any other bag to fit over TT to protect from some weather?

I have a BMC TT02 on Topeak rack under cover but sometimes get rain and dirt if windy.

I am after a bag that can go over it on the rack to protect, keep clean and limit pre ride maintenance.

Appreciate any advice.
I reckon the CTC plastic bike bag would fit around just about any bike though not of course a tandem (too long) or penny farthing (too tall)! I know little about TT bikes but believe they have a shorter wheelbase than a tourer.. If in any doubt, please measure the length and height of your cycle with tyres at full pressure unless you are taking it on a plane where tyres need to be deflated due to in- flight changes of air pressure. You wheel the bike into the bag and therte is normally some slack at the open end you can fold over and seal by tape. I guess really strong adhesive tape might weld itself to the polythene, possibly resulting in a tear if peeled off. At £12 a bag you need to be able to re-use the bag as many times as possible. Clear waterproof tape is reasonably useful in this case but please do a test run first before taping up wholesale. Hope this helps.
