"Seemed like a nice, solid wheel. Until one day I noticed it was riding funny. When I had a look several spokes were broken, after barely 6 months of use. I suppose it's a testament to how strong it otherwise is, that it rode fine with so many broken spokes, but when your trusting your life to 14g wire you kinda hope they use the good stuff.
If you use your bike every day expect to spend nearly double the price to account for new spokes & a rebuild; but if your bike mostly sits in the garage this is the option for you."
Pros: cheap
Cons: Low Quality, Wears Out Easily, poor quality spokes

"Stops mud and water getting flung in front of you, and therefore blowing back at you. Crown and stanchions still get a good bathing. XS version looks a little different to that pictured."

"More grip than I was expecting from a slick, even at max PSI. From slick asphalt to gravel, wet or dry, and even a bit of mud and dirt, these'll get you from a to b. The only time I lost traction on these is when I tried to ride over slippery plastic track armor, the kind designed for knobblies to sink into (doh)."

"Make sure to measure the thickness of your dropouts and compare to the chart in the description. I didn't realise what the description was on about and got std when i needed xl.
Otherwise these are good skewers, better than you might expect for the price."

"I made the mistake of ordering one of these for a large MTB hardtail frame, sits far too close to the saddle. Completely impractical.
Don't like the quick release, requires disengaging THEN unscrewing for awhile to actually get it off.
Otherwise it's fairly well made. Adjustable tray is nice."

Cons: not for large frames

"The metal clamp on this is horrible, awkward as to get screwed in. I broke the metal strap off of the nut, mounted the arm to the base (with use of pliers to hold the nut), and then cut slits in the base to thread through a 8mm wide zip tie. This means it can mount to any size bar or stem easily, but it's not quite as study I don't think. Good enough to mount a computer and light, and cheaper than a name brand solution."
Pros: Adjustable, Versatile
Cons: Unattractive, Low Quality, Poor Fit

"Noticed the added stability straight away, like going from a rope ladder to a stairs. Very nice for large feet (I'm a 10.5) in normal shoes (I usually ride in boots). The center of the pedal is a little lower than the outside edges, but there's still plenty of grip.
I wouldn't likely use anything else now."

Metal hose fittings

Does this come with metal hose fittings? Is there anywhere i can buy just the metal hose fittings, as the plastic fittings on the Micro Floor Pump by Lezyne are frankly poorly designed and unfit for purpose.

A compact HV pump design that brings floor pump function and power along for the ride. The aluminum barrel, shaft, base, and T-handle are custom CNC-machined for durability, ergonomics and reduced weight. Supplied with inline gauge.

What is the difference between a HP and HV Layzene pump with garage

HP = High Pressure, HV = High Volume. Generally you want HP for road tyres, and HV for MTB.

will they fit a cyclocross bike

My rear mudguard is currently jerry rigged bits of bedroll, works well. I imagine something similar could be zip tied to rigid forks in about the same place as the neoguard to achieve the same function. Might not be pretty, and might wear out faster, but inexpensive.

Are the spacers exactly as pictured (Hope logo in capital letters)?

Picture on webpage is of the older version; Hope has changed the appearance of the logo on newer models. I am trying to purchase only the old version.
The ones I received had lower case italicized. I didn't even notice there was a difference til you pointed it out.

Does it really fit on a handlebar as well as to a stem?

The description says that it fits on handlebars as well as the stem but the picture doesn't show how (another picture would be great).
The arm has a bolt that goes through the base and the metal strap has a nut welded to it. The strap has three holes, you bend the metal strap to the size you want, put it over what your clamping it to, put the base over it and thread on the bolt. It looks easy enough but it's not.
