An outstanding value road cycling shoe with a sleek, minimal upper for cooling comfort and a stiff glass reinforced nylon sole for efficient pedalling action. The R1.0 is the perfect introduction to performance cycle footwear.

"I got these as economic spin shoes to save the hassle of changing over road/spin cleats each time.
Appearance - they look fine - nice and simple
Warning though, these are a big headache to set up - at least on mine, you had to saw through part of the sole with a stanley knife to be able to push through the opening to attach the cleats. (This might of course have been a one-off problem with this pair alone.)
Second warning is that they are very stiff - the top edge can cut into your ankle a bit. It's ok if you have thick socks that come up a few centimetres over your ankle, but don't wear them with ankle-length socks!
For £40ish they do fine as spin shoes but I wouldn't get them for riding."

Help! It is rubbing all the rubber off my back tyre!

Anyone know what might be going on here?
I've just used this 2 or 3 times and loads of tiny shreds of rubber are rubbing off the back tyre.. there is a noticeable bald-line on my back tyre now..
I am definitely still in the amateur/weakling category of cyclists, so this isn't due to some super-hard power-riding.
Any advice is much appreciated.
