"Comment on the zips:
They do come undone easily if you don't LOCK THEM. Once you lock them they are...er, locked in.
The rest (I haven't yet ridden):
Bought MEDIUM, I'm 177cm / ~74kg. They're are slightly more loose fitting than Assos medium. Being picky: I have just a little bit of leg length spare, but I don't imagine this being a problem. They appear to be OK for ~7+ degs, depends on hot you like your rides I guess (will find out tonight). When holding the product my first thought was 'bingo'.

"I'm 177cm and 73kg.
Bought the Uno's in a medium and they fit perfectly. I had bought a pair of the Mille's earlier as a large and I regret doing so, the medium is definitely the best (I wasn't hesitant getting something too tight for a first pair of bids).
The medium fit allows the padding to be placed better...which is key to this product! Don't fool yourself and get a 'size larger' as they will end up being less comfortable"
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit

How do Assos sizes relate to waist size?

The size chart gives height measurement. I am 175cm (5' 9"), which would make me size medium. But I have a 90cm (35") waist. Would I actually fit into medium? Conversely, would Large be too big, because designed for a taller person?
I would recommend medium - especially if you're looking at turning your 35" into 33-34", I'm 177cm/73kg/32" and the medium is absolutely spot on, I would say the extra 2cm I have on you would allow for any belly curves etc. You want the medium so the pads go where they need to. I have a large pair (first pair, bad size choice) and notice that I have to move the crotch forward to get the pads in the correct position, so I now use my mediums over the large.
