Stainless-Steel Rear Carrier: Designed on the principle that the load needs to be carried lower and further aft to provide maximum heel clearance without compromising stability. Constructed of tig welded tubular stainless tubing: the result is an extremely attractive and durable rack.

"You are paying extra $ for the stainless steel ... which doesn't have the corrosion issues of steel or the fatigue failure issues of aluminum. Be mindful that tubus rates the stainless models as having a slightly less weight bearing capacity than the steel one. If you want corrosion free and the performance of steel you might want to consider smashing your piggy bank even more thoroughly and go for the titanium model.
This is designed for a 700 wheel. I stuck it on a 26 wheel. It just means that the rack is slightly higher than what it needs to be and the two arms that secure the rack to the seat post mounting protrude through the top of the rack. This isn't an issue if you are just mounting panniers however if you have plans to mount a rack pack on a 26 wheel you will have to trim the mounting arms to something a bit smaller.
As with all tubus racks, there are no problems with mounting the panniers."

"probably one of the smallest hand pumps around that comes with a hose and is half capable of getting reasonably high tyre pressure (only other ones are those designed for air shock pressure ... which pump air at a painfully slow rate).
I had a MTB version (that I gave to a friend) for years - never had an issue with it. Road version is same design with thinner barrel. Plastic cap keeps dust out of the valve. Perfect size for the jersey pocket"

"Took these on a 2 month tour of India. Used them to make side panniers more secure since the road was practically non existent in many places.
Before I put these on I was taking it slow and gritting my teeth in anxiety every time I went over a rough bump in case my back panniers flew off (which they did on 3 occasions).
I put these on and I was able to speed along a lot faster without having to worry about the bags.
The hook is made of a hard grade plastic (similar to ortlieb pannier hooks I imagine) that fastens perfectly on the tubus rack frame and there are three elastic cords so even if one of them happens to fail (which they never did nor do they show signs of) there are 2 more to back it up.

"As far as bike tools go, its pretty comprehensive.
The two parts do slot together in a fashion, but not very securely. Chain breaker tool screw mechanism has rattled itself loose on occasion in the seat bag (meaning you just have to screw it back in - had to use it one occasion and was relieved to find it floating around in the saddle bag )
Handy to have the metal spanners being able to be used in tandem with the allen keys (since most of the time you require one tool to lock a nut (ie the allen key) and another tool to twist the bolt (ie the spanner)"
Pros: Versatile
Cons: Bulky

"I guess its handy to have a pedal wrench built into a chain whip but the amount of pressure you need to loosen these connections is phenomenal - the spanner is super thin so it messes with your hands a bit but you can get around it by wrapping it in cloth or something on the handle to cushion the pressure"
Pros: Versatile
Cons: Poor Fit

Are these easier to fit than schwalbe wire beaded tyres?

With the schwalbe marathon supremes you got to use straps and have arms of steel to change the tyre - looking for an alternative and wondering if these fit the bill

 Roam Elite Watch
Roam Elite Watch
The new Roam Elite watch brings adventure and style crashing together. Its soft-touch rubber case is robust and durable enough to wear anywhere, even at the most extreme temperatures.

Is this ok to wear for open water swim?

Just googled this answer and I found it helpful:

ATM or “atmospheres” is the amount of pressure a watch can withstand before leaking. A 3ATM watch will withstand pressures equivalent to about 30 meters, or 100ft under water. It is important to note that this is a measure of pressure NOT depth. For example, the pressure from the water coming from the shower hitting the seals of the watch is far greater than 3 atmospheres.

The following are “real world” examples of the water resistance of each rating:

3ATM - Water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). Will withstand splashes of water or rain but should not be worn while swimming or diving.

5ATM - Water tested to 50 meters (165 feet). Suitable for showering or swimming in shallow water.

10ATM - Water tested to 100 meters (330 feet). Suitable for swimming and snorkeling.

so since this is 5 ATM, it suits my purposes and I'm buying one
