The Eagle's range of antifog and scratch resistant curved lenses deliver amazing 180° visibility available off the shelf in half step increments from -1.5 to -6 diopters (prescription). To be used on with the Eagle goggles.
"Optometrists get really upset when you tell them that you're swimming in a lake wearing contact lenses. Apparently there are amoebae there that will eat your eyeballs if they're given half a chance by getting under your lens, especially if you're then going to spend a couple of hours biking and running whilst still wearing said contacts.
Providing that you don't have too exotic a requirement, these lenses will give you enough vision to be able to see the buoy that you're supposed to be racing towards.
I save my optical lenses for open-water swimming, and use the stock Eagle non-Rx lenses for pool training where the chlorine and gunge can wreck them with impunity."
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, you can see the buoy!
Blueseventy's most flexible and comfortable suit yet - Helix. Proprietary TST panels, 5mm Yamamoto Aerodrome rubber, quick exit legs, a reverse zipper and body fit panels this suit fits and feels like a second skin.
"My last Helix (circa 2011, second hand from ebay) was a great suit to swim in but has all but fallen apart.
This one is significantly better, it still has the great float for your body and the mobility for your shoulders, but the most noticeable difference being how quickly you can get out of it. I think the neoprene's stretchier?"
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight
"Fiddly to get on and the instructions aren't the best - use them in combination with the youtube videos and some common sense and you'll figure it out.
When you've finally got them in place they're great; you'll forget they are there apart from the fact that you and your seat, lights, drivetrain etc are all prettymuch clean and dry at the end of a winter ride.
