"The unit itself is well styled, sleek looking with graphics running diagonally across the unit. It looks and feels well built and the touch screen works well with a gloved hand.
I have mounted mine on the out front bracket that came with the bundle and it is easy to access without getting in the way of anything and looks fab. It took about 10mins max to install the sensor and magnets, no dramas.
The cadence and heart rate monitor were easy to install and pair with the unit, as was my i-phone for live tracking with the garmin connect app. The instructions are intuitive and in around 10 minutes I was riding with everything set up and scrolling through the menu to see the different screens.
Uploading to Garmin select is simple, as is setting up live track so that others can see where you are. Posting to social network also really easy and all this from a 49 year old technophobe!
the only negative was the cost, but the 12% platinum discount offset that a little.
My life is complete now I have the ultimate cycling gadget.!"

"I bought a three pack of these around 18 months ago. They have stood the test of time with no holes or other problems. Washed many times the logo has faded slightly but other than they still look good.
Performance wise, my feet are kept cool and dry in the summer months. A great product for the price"

"I am doing an end to end in May with a small group and Wiggle kindly assisted us with a good discount on these jerseys as we needed this colour blue.
I am 5'10", 40 chest and 32 waist, and nearly 12 stone. The large is a good fit, medium would have been too small. I always go one size up with DHB and the fit is perfect, hence the 5 stars for fit.
The zip operates smoothly and feels strong. Managed to get plenty into the rear pockets as well without it losing too much shape or feeling uncomfortable. Jersey looks good on, although it is slightly shorter in length at the front than other jerseys I have.
Worn several times in fair to warm weather so far and it keeps me cool and gets rid of excess heat and moisture. I didn't overheat when hauling myself up some monster hills near to where I live.
A great product for the price."

""I bought a Gatorskin to replace a Pro4 endurance that got a flat within 50 miles of fitting. However, I still kept a Pro4 on the front and am able to compare the two tyres while writing this review.
The Gatorskin went onto my rims easy enough with no drama and I was back on the road in no time. there is a tread direction and an arrow on the sidewall to show you which way to fit.
The Gatorskin and the Pro4 tyre is still going strong after 1500 or so miles with no signs of cuts or extreme wear. I have not had a further puncture in nearly a year.
It has got me through a long cold winter on the roads, and I have never felt like the tyre could not handle the road conditions. Looking at the Gatorskin and the Pro 4 they both appear to be still going strong and if it ain't broke don't fix it!!
Weight of tyre is not an issue for me as I am riding on bombproof Mavics. Gotta say the Gatorskin has lived up to the reputation of being reliable and long lasting."

""Been using my Nano leg warmers with matching arm warmers and Gabba jersey. I find the large fits my arms and legs fine. I am 5'10 and have typical cyclists legs, ie well defined and slim.
The silicon grippers hold everything in place perfectly, there is no irritation from the seam, the zip stays closed and does not cause any issues around my socks or overshoes, and there is no bunching behind the knees.
I have been out in both wind and rain without either feeling cold or wet underneath the protective layer. I got filthy with road spray during one ride and popped them into the washing machine with no adverse effects on looks or performance next time I went out.
I find the Castelli stuff really does work as advertised, and is robust and reliable""

"I bought a pair of the Pro4 endurance last year with the grey sidewall. They went onto my rims easy enough, and all seemed good until after about 50 miles the sidewall on the rear got a huge gash in it from a piece of broken plastic cup. I was a bit disappointed by this as endurance were supposed to be more resistant to punctures, and replaced it with a Gatorskin.
The front however is still going strong after 1500 or so miles with no signs of cuts or extreme wear. The grey colour is also pretty true to new after a long winter on the roads, and I have never felt like the tyre could not handle the road conditions. Therefore this is what I am basing my review recommendation on. Maybe I was just unlucky with the rear."

"I have just bought a Gabba in black from Wiggle with a great discount. I looked at one last year but went for the Sanremo Thermosuit instead, which kept me so warm and dry all winter I didn't need to use the turbo trainer at all.. However, winter is over so time to buy a Gabba and see what all the fuss is about.
I am 5'10" 11 1/2 stone and 39 inch chest and 32 inch waist. Medium was too small, but the large fits fine- not too tightly stretched. The jersey is extremely well made and the windstopper fabric feels soft against your body and is not restrictive. The fit is great with no spare material to flap about and spoil the aero cut.
Nice Silver/white logo across the chest and of course the obligatory scorpions on the arms, chest and back. There is a long flap at the back which completely covers the backside, and the pockets have eyelets in to let any rainwater out. Zip is easy to move with a gloved hand and feels strong.
It has not rained in the UK for a couple of weeks, but tried it out in 4 degrees C with a strong wind whipping around yesterday. Paired with some Nanoflex arm and leg warmers I was kept protected from the wind, warm, and yet enough ventilation going on to avoid overheat or excessive sweat.
Very comfortable on and got some (I think) complimentary looks from other road users. I have to say the jersey looks great as well, it just exudes Castelli style and quality.
I am actually looking forward to some heavy rain!!"

"I use the yellow cleats with some 105 pedals, and they work really well with these. They last pair I had lasted 18 months including walking around between getting on the bike.
I would recommend these to anyone who wants to use cleats since they are easy to clip in and slip out of the pedals. Even though they have some float be sure to take the time to correctly set them up to ensure best power transfer and avoid toe and ankle issues.."

I always have to go up one size with Castelli from my normal size and it is no different with the Gabba jersey.

My advice is you should choose a medium size which will still give you an aero cut and fit, but allow enough space for some layering options underneath to increase the temperature range you can use the jersey in.

Hi Alzab,

Yes, the holes are there for ventilation. You will appreciate this when the weather hots up.

I use mine with overshoes in winter- water does not come in through the holes in the sole.

Hi Kirsty,

I would advise small for you. I normally order one size up for Castelli, but if you do this then there will be too much material flapping about your arms.

The dhb Merino cycling sock has a slim and lightweight feel but offers exceptional warmth to weight ratio.

Warmer than the thermo-sock?

I already have a pair of the dhb thermo-socks. Are these merino socks any warmer?

I have a pair of both and both keep my feet as warm as the other. The only noticeable difference for me is there is less odour and better wicking with the merino wool sock.

Entry level at Mavic doesn't mean low end. This wheelset provides you with top Mavic technologies.

Mavic Aksium Black Clincher Wheelset, Are these compatiable with 8 speed shimano cassette?

Best answer
Top 50 Contributor
Top 50 Contributor
Mavic wheels come with a spacer which needs to go on before the cassette. This will be fitted to the wheels already if they're currently in use. In addition to this, there will be a spacer that goes behind a 10 speed cassette. This is NOT required with the 8 speed cassette.

So the short answer is YES.

A competitively priced Roubaix jersey for cyclists who are starting out in winter.

Are they meant to tight around the chest?

Just took delivery of one yesterday and tried on, sleeve length is fine however it's more than snug around my chest..

I've read about concerns/issues with the sizing of these in general but as have never worn one before wondered if they are meant to be tight around chest.

Thanks.
Top 50 Contributor
Top 50 Contributor
It should be comfortable but not too tight. This jersey is not meant to be a 'form' or slim fit, so is a little more roomy.

If it is tight on your chest to the point of restriction then you wont get a base layer option, and it may affect your breathing. Sounds like you need to go up a size.
